LED lighting in the bath. Why is it worth installing LEDs in a steam room

The bathhouse is the cherished dream of many residents of the private sector. And it is quite natural that one cannot do without full-fledged lighting here. Standard electrical wiring is a tried and tested option, but not at all safe. Here you need to take care of grounding and install an automatic machine. However, it is still impossible to exclude the possibility of a short circuit.

The lamp cannot be used without a shade - there is a high probability that trouble will occur. In addition, the light from incandescent lamps is not always sufficient. Sometimes they simply cannot deliver the required power. As a result, there will be semi-darkness in the steam room, which is unacceptable for an enclosed space. Installing additional lighting points here along the walls is unacceptable.

For many, the installation of LEDs in the bath is in great doubt. And all because the steam room is exposed to high temperatures. The LED equipment manufacturer states that the limit for the use of its product is approximately 50 degrees. The minimum temperature in the steam room is from 60 degrees, under the ceiling (where the equipment is installed) it reaches 90 degrees. In practice, however, LEDs perform well at this temperature range.

The advantages of using these types of lamps in a bath:

• Relatively low cost. For comparison, 2-3 incandescent lamps are needed per year, while the LED does not burn out during this time. If you recalculate the costs of both options, it will turn out to be much more profitable.
• Long term operation. LEDs do not need to be changed frequently, which is a decisive factor for many owners. Incandescent lamps did not last even a month, and LEDs work for a year.
• Bright light and high power. You can even choose the lighting option - warm or cold. People have very different tastes, so this diversity is very important to them.

There are no official regulations regarding the prohibition of the use of LED lamps in the bathhouse. That is why sauna owners should try both classic incandescent lamps and LEDs. By comparing each option, you can determine the best for yourself. However, you should never forget about safety precautions - it should be the basis of any work.
