Replaced all LED lamps in the rooms with simple incandescent lamps. Decided it was better. I explain why

A few years ago I happened to work in an organization that was engaged in the installation of lighting. Worked there long enough. And naturally, he began to pay attention to the lighting wherever he was.

Once with the men at work, we started talking about which lamps are better to use at home. So that there is savings, and there is no harm to health. Surprisingly, the majority of workers said they only had incandescent light bulbs in their homes. It seemed strange to me at the time. After all, LEDs have been around for a long time. I thought they were perfect for living rooms.

Having heard enough guys with vast experience with lamps, I still did not believe them. And I decided to figure out which lamps are better. As a result, I got rid of LED lighting and installed the simplest incandescent lamps everywhere, and in some places halogens. I made a rating of lighting elements, and LED lamps took an honorable last place in it.

Here are my conclusions:

  1. Lighting from LED and fluorescent lamps is harmful to human eyes. Light spectra are perceived by the eyes in different ways. From continuous illumination by LEDs, the eyes strain too much, and the pupils dilate.
  2. LEDs provide blue light. Prolonged exposure to such lighting causes fatigue, sleep disturbance and other problems with the nervous system and psyche. This lighting is comparable to the light from computers and televisions.
  3. LED lamps adversely affect vision. The greatest danger of LEDs is their shortwave range (0.88 - 17 microns). They cause problems with the retina, cataracts, myopia.
  4. The LEDs have exceeded the ripple factor. This is the case with both cheap and expensive lamps.
  5. GOSTs are not formed in vain. And they clearly state that LEDs are harmful to human health. The most dangerous are LEDs from 15 watts. They were included in the 3rd risk group.

After personal analysis and study of the information, I stopped using LED lighting, and replaced the lamps with simple incandescent bulbs.

While working with lighting, we were somehow supplied with a large number of Soviet lamps. I still remember them. They don't compare to today's. The plinth was strong metal. And the life of the lamps was much longer than it is now. There was no "rapid aging effect", as is now the case with both lamps and equipment. I have been using these lamps for a long time. It's a pity, my stock ran out, I had to switch to modern ones. Well, let's use what we have!

I also use LEDs. But I try to put them only in those rooms where I do not spend a long time. A dosed amount of light from LEDs is not harmful to health.

I wonder what lamps are in your rooms? Do you agree that LEDs are not safe for human health?
