A tool that easily removes scale and complex limescale: an indispensable life hack for the home

New shower "flew" after 4 months

Last fall, an expensive rain shower was installed. And now, after four months of operation, I turn it on, and the water breaks the top watering can. During this relatively short time for the mixer, it was completely clogged with stone and iron. This is our water!

The top watering can was dismantled, examined and concluded that it was possible to fix it. But before that, it, like the lower watering can, had to be cleaned of strong limescale. I was looking for how to do this and found advice on using citric acid from this trouble. Bought and started...

Cleaning method and all the possibilities of 40 grams of powder!

The large watering can was dismantled, the small one was removed and it was all put in a basin. I poured 40 grams of citric acid into the pan and poured 2 liters of water. I put it to boil. By the way, there was also a coating on the bottom of the pan and I decided to try how the acid would cope with it. But the water did not have time to heat up, and the bottom of the pan became as polished. Attaching photo.

When the citric acid solution boiled, she poured it into a basin with watering cans. They lay there for 10 minutes. Then she took a brush, poured a pinch of citric acid on a watering can and began to rub. After 15 seconds, the entire raid was gone! It was enough to rinse a large watering can a little and the plaque was no matter how it happened!

While my husband was gluing and assembling the watering can, I decided not to pour out the solution, but to use it to the maximum. I poured a liter into the kettle and boiled it - the scale immediately went away, and the bottom of the kettle sparkled. Then came the turn of mixers - these already a day after cleaning cease to shine. In general, citric acid and washed them.

At the last stage, I began to work on the plaque on the tiles and glass shelves in the bathroom. And he could not resist this miracle remedy. As a result, only 40 grams of powder (this is ½ pack for 80 rubles) washed 2 shower heads, 2 pots, 3 mixers, an electric kettle, tiles and bathroom shelves.

Important!

Be sure to wear safety goggles and gloves when using citric acid! Still, this is not the weakest reagent and can damage sensitive skin. But most of all, avoid splashing eye solution, especially when using a brush!

There are life hacks on the Internet for removing limescale with acetic acid. I do not advise doing this, since the vinegar must be dissolved with hot water, and with this procedure, its smell intensifies at times. Use citric acid - it does its job well, but it does not have the same volatility as vinegar.
