What are the good wardrobes. Let me tell you about my closet.
All my adult life, it so happened that I had only ordinary cabinets for things that opened with doors outward. Most recently, I got a wardrobe from Bellona. I’ll tell you what discoveries I made for myself, and what advantages and disadvantages came out in the process of using it.
Space saving
The closet is a real space saver.
The place that used to be reserved for opening doors is now free. Of course, you need to provide a free approach to any closet, but purely visually, it seems that there is more space.
Convenience and comfort
Sliding wardrobes may differ in their internal content, but there is something in common: a place to store folded things, a compartment with hangers for things that wrinkle and it is desirable to place them on hangers (women's dresses, men's shirts, trousers), compartments for blankets and bedding underwear.
In general, the furniture manufacturer thoughtfully approached the issue of storage. Almost all the shelves are occupied and used by us for their intended purpose.
The presence of a mirror
I read the presence of a large full-length mirror as a big advantage. In cabinets with ordinary doors, most often there is no mirror.
door closer
The cabinet is equipped with a fairly sensitive door closer:
It is enough to direct the door a little in the right direction, and the door closer will close the cabinet door to the end.
Flaws
Specifically, in my Bellona closet, I would like to have two identical compartments with drawers, as in photo # 3. Instead, there is an incomprehensible compartment in the left compartment of the cabinet (bottom left):
In addition, I constantly think about the door closer - it seems to me too sensitive. "Am I trying too hard to close the doors, will it break?" - similar thoughts sometimes visit me.
