Even the siphon does not need to be removed. An effective way: how to get rid of blockage in the sink through the drain. Easy and fast
A blockage in the sink is of course not a problem if you have plumbing skills, if the house is full of equipment for carrying out various types of repair work and, if the siphon is conveniently located and easily removed. But there are situations when age, lack of skills, and in addition you are a woman prevent you from getting close to the siphon or doing this work. The most obvious option in this case is to call a plumber and wait for him to come all day.
The master, of course, will cope with the work in a couple of minutes, take good money for it and leave, but after of this, every housewife has a feeling of slight sadness and the thought that it was possible to do this on one's own.
There are some easy ways to deal with a blockage in the sink or shower stall, using simple and affordable means. Even an elderly housewife can do it.
Method 1: hot water
A clogged sink is most often caused by small pieces of food or debris stuck together by grease particles. In order for the blockage to disappear, you can use a jet of hot water under pressure. At the same time, the fat will melt, the water will wash it further down the pipe, and the blockage will pass.
To do this, the upper part of the hose with a sprinkler from the shower or bath must be freed from the watering can. It can be easily removed with a simple twist without the use of tools. Put the sprinkler and sealing gum aside, and attach the hose with the free end to the place where the water drains and supply the hottest water under pressure.
The procedure will have to be done several times to achieve the dissolution of fatty blockage.
Don't forget to put the sprinkler and o-ring back on the shower hose.
Method 2: construction screed
If the blockage is formed by a non-fat lump or contains a large amount of hair or insoluble fragments, a building screed can be used to eliminate it. It is desirable that its length be greater than the distance from the drain to the siphon. To do this, you need to connect two tie tapes to each other, slightly shifting along the longitudinal axis, and secure them with a sewing thread or adhesive tape. Carefully moving the screed into the drain hole and making reciprocating movements, you can quickly achieve that the water flow is restored.
In this case, the screed can pull out of the drain hole part of the organic fragments that formed the blockage.
If in the process of this method of removing blockage you notice that the water starts to drain faster, try turning the screed around its axis several times, this will speed up the process even more.
Method 3: electric drill
The tie bands can be fixed in the drill holder, and the previous procedure can be done with greater dynamics, while the tie will quickly break up the fatty or organic blockage.
These simple ways will help you deal with a blockage in your washbasin without removing the siphon or calling a master plumber.
