They told me: "Your chimney will clog quickly." I check the horizontal part (the most problematic place), after a while. My conclusions.
Sometimes they tell me that I do everything on purpose against the rules, so that later I have something to write about ππ²π. Well, another portion of "violation of technology and common sense" has come up. Although the result is not so bad...
Friends all a big hello. To be honest, I myself understood from the very beginning that I chose not the best stove, not the best chimney, and I didnβt install it all in the best way.
Perhaps I will open a secret for someone, but in practice, everything is not so perfect and good as sitting on the couch with the "mouthpiece of the ultimate truth." And there is no goal to make everything better than everyone else.
I start from my situation, my capabilities, and my experience (or rather its absence.), and most importantly β moving forward.
So where did I come with my chimney?
And so, the stove in my house has been standing for about 4 months, and I have been using it stably for about three months.
Almost every day I go to the site and heat.
On the topic of installation, and the intricacies of operating my long-burning stove (model "Fire-battery"), I have already written several articles (you can see everything on my channel). And a lot of people told me that in vain I made a horizontal section of the chimney, especially with 90-degree angles, and that it would clog very quickly.
I understood that this was possible, but to be honest, I did not think that there would be something terrible and terrible. And for periodic cleanings (about once a year), I'm basically ready.
Fortunately, I foresaw everything in advance, and put tees on the turns for normal access.
And of course, it is interesting to see what happened to the chimney.
I did not wait a year, but decided to look at this stage. And the picture was this:
- I barely picked the plug, apparently stuck from soot. I had to pick it with a knife and knock with a mallet ..
- Opening the sazu with a lid, he took out a pile of black resinous pieces.
- But looking deep into the horizontal section, I did not see anything criminal.
Yes, there is a slight coating on the walls, but that's normal. Most of the soot is in the area of ββ\u200b\u200bthe turn (and at the wrong end of the horizontal section, I think too). Probably if I had made the turns smoother, then this would not have happened (but in this case, you wonβt make an audit).
- Moreover, it must be taken into account that the firewood with which I heated was also not ideal.
By the way, here is a short video with an inspection, look there everything is clearer.
Personally, I'm satisfied with the result so far.
It is this imperfect, not the best, but my result. And with my initial data, it is quite nothing to itself ...
Friends, what do you think about this? I look forward to your opinion in the comments. Share your experience, if any, it's always helpful.
