Well friends, finally my homemade ventilation system is fully assembled. And now is the time to sum up the preliminary results. After all, this case has stretched out so much that you need to collect everything piece by piece in order to understand that this is what happened at all.

" Why is everything so difficult?" Many do not understand my ventilation system. Let me explain what is done and why.

✔ Let's start with the basics: why a forced system?

After all, many will say that they live well with ventilation through open windows. Well, at most, you can make natural ventilation with an outlet on the roof, and supply valves.

Agree with all opinions. My views have changed gradually.

At first, I was also a supporter of minimalism, with a belief in simple ventilation. Then, during the development of construction processes, I realized that there were problems with humidity in the house, and this brought me to reality.

When airing the room in winter, all the heat flies out the windows. And when heating with electricity, all such heat losses add up to financial costs, which of course you want to reduce.

✅ This is where the idea to make a recuperator came up. And he already assumes forced ventilation. This is how I ended up at this stage.

In my case, this is a diagram of a simple plate heat exchanger, which is on the Internet, and which is easy to implement with your own hands.

  • Heat exchangers are made of ordinary foil.
  • EPPS box (remains from construction work)

✔ Air filters.

It has already turned out as an additional equipment. Two boxes for supply and exhaust. They serve to protect the air in the room, and to protect the heat exchanger itself from unnecessary contaminants (everything is also assembled from XPS and filter cloth).

✔ Ventilation channels in all rooms.

Here, I most likely overdid it, spreading both the supply and exhaust, so to speak, in all corners.

But it definitely won’t get any worse, and somehow I’ll survive the overspending of the material. As a result, a uniform distribution of both extracts and inflows in all rooms was obtained, which will positively affect the ventilation productivity.

✔ Well, everything will be driven by such fans.

Power 70 W, productivity 450 m³/hour. One is on the intake, the other is on the exhaust. And such a powereven taking into account the length and bends of the ventilation ducts), just behind the eyes.

But the main thing is to check everything in action.
