Secrets of growing huge onions thanks to top dressing in June.

There are a lot of tips and tricks for growing onions. Despite the importance of the conditions of agricultural technology, top dressing plays a special role in this matter.

Timing of fertilizer application
As soon as the onion begins to form (the bulbs increase significantly in size), you can apply fertilizer. If we talk about time, then the period from the end of June to the first days of July will be optimal.

For root dressing, you will need a complex mineral fertilizer, which must be dissolved in water. So, for 10 liters of liquid you need to add 30 g. fertilizers. As soon as top dressing is applied to the soil, the bulbs will absorb nutrients, and good growth will be ensured.

To consolidate the result obtained, the second top dressing should be carried out at the end of July. Top dressing must be prepared from the following components:

Water - 10 l.
Potassium sulphate - 10-15 g.
Superphosphate - 20 g.

All components must be thoroughly mixed and pour over the onion solution. Then you need to pour from the watering can again with ordinary water to wash off the drops that accidentally fell from the greens.

It is noteworthy that feeding should be carried out in the evening or morning hours, in non-rainy and relatively warm weather. It is very important to observe the proportions of the preparation of fertilizers.

If everything is done correctly and in a timely manner, the bulbs will be large, juicy and suitable for long-term storage.
