When and how to produce the first dressing of cucumbers to get a huge harvest.
Almost all vegetable crops need proper and timely top dressing. So, cucumbers are no exception. The first feeding should be carried out precisely at the time when the third true leaf appears on the plants.
If you delay the application of fertilizers and apply them only during the flowering period, then you can not expect a good harvest from such beds.
Small cucumber sprouts are quite susceptible to the external environment.
If for some reason they receive less nutrients during their development, then the development will slow down significantly, immunity will decrease, which will certainly affect the harvest by far from the most favorable way.
It is permissible not to do the first top dressing only if humus was previously added to the soil. If this has not been done, then top dressing should be carried out according to the following recipe:
Urea - 20 g.
Potassium chloride - 15 g.
Superphosphate - 30 g.
Water without impurities - 10 liters.
All components must be thoroughly mixed with each other, and then pour the cucumber bed with a solution.
If droplets of the substance fall on the green part of the plants, this can cause burns.
To avoid injury, additionally pour cucumbers from a watering can with plain water.
The mixture can be prepared independently, or purchased ready-made in the store. After such treatment, cucumbers begin to grow actively, and bloom earlier by about 10-14 days.
As the cucumbers grow, such top dressing can be done one more time, but not at the time of the formation of the ovaries, since the fruits are able to absorb harmful substances.
