How to feed tomatoes in June after planting. Important elements for tomatoes
Tomatoes in early June should already be planted in a permanent place. How can I feed them for good growth, so that in the future the plants will have excellent fruiting?
Top dressing for tomatoes
After the tomatoes have been planted in a permanent place in a greenhouse or open ground, after about 10-14 days, additional nutrition should be given to the plants. The composition of fertilizers must necessarily include elements such as calcium, boron and magnesium. You can spray tomatoes on the leaf, providing the plants with these nutrients.
In addition, tomatoes require an NPK complex, where the amount of nitrogen in the first feeding of tomatoes should be higher than phosphorus and potassium.
Nitrogen is needed to build green mass, but you should be careful with nitrogen supplements, as there is such a phenomenon as fattening of tomatoes. The stem becomes thick, the leaves begin to twist in different directions. Fatting can reduce the yield of tomatoes in the future.
Nitrogen supplements include herbal infusion, which is prepared from dandelion leaves and nettles. The barrel is half filled with grass and filled with water, then covered with a lid and the mixture is kept in the sun for 7-10 days. The resulting liquid is diluted 1 to 10 and the plants are watered under the root. Peppers and eggplants also respond well to this top dressing.
In the second top dressing (after another 10 days), you can feed the NPK complex in equal proportions of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. For example, it can be an affordable fertilizer in the price range like nitroammophoska. In a bucket of water (10 liters), you need to dilute 1 tablespoon of the substance. It is enough to pour 1-1.5 liters under each bush.
When fruit ripening begins, nitrogen should be abandoned, and phosphorus, potassium and calcium should be added. These elements are sufficient in wood ash. It can be replaced with monopotassium phosphate and calcium nitrate, the latter also helps with blossom end rot, because of it you can lose up to 50 percent of the crop if you do not take action in time. 2-3 foliar top dressings should be done on a leaf (10 grams of the substance per 10 liters of water).
What else should be applied top dressing in June? This, of course, is boric acid in powder (1 teaspoon per 10 liters of water), which is previously diluted in a small amount of hot water. The solution is sprayed on the sheet. You can use the drug "Ovary" (fruit formation stimulator) during the flowering period of tomatoes.
Thus, important elements for the growth and development of tomatoes are magnesium, boron and calcium. It also requires nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK complex).
