Here is an example of how a house built in 1948 with clay walls and wooden floors, six months and 35 thousand dollars, you can modernize beyond recognition.

In this mud hut sturdy walls were only able to keep warm in winter and cool in summer. Therefore, they decided to leave, and the rest - to disassemble. Remove all: walls, old heating, chimney, doors, windows, leaving only the skeleton of the walls.

In the first place, instead of mounds of earth inside the house began to make a warm floor. The outer perimeter of the house dug a trench depth of two feet and a width of 1 meter. They knocked out the ceiling boards, leaving the old beams.

In the south-west of England, a young married couple has transformed a 300-year old house in a charming and comfortable nest. Outside, however, it remained to look his age - uneven mud walls, small windows and the door. But inside the luxury reigns.
