We do drip from bottles. Comfortable in the heat. Use electrodes, tape and scissors
I do not throw plastic bottles, because it is such a versatile material, from which you can come up with is always something new and interesting for your site. For example, they are useful to me for drip irrigation, which makes life easier for cottagers and farmers.
With this irrigation land plants gradually and fully provided moisture to the roots (that important on hot days), and the water does not flow directly from the beds, as it happens when watering with a watering can, and a little that the spines falls. In the manufacture of drip irrigation, I took advantage of the welding electrodes husband and tape.
What you need
plastic bottle;
welding electrodes;
hacksaw;
water;
scissors;
Scotch.
Step-by-step instruction
1. Take a plastic bottle (1.5-2 liters).
2. Take the welding electrodes and attach them to the tank by means of an adhesive tape, which tied tight top and bottom of the bottle.
If there are no electrodes that fit any fittings, wooden sticks for at least 20-30 cm.
3. Cut off the bottom of the bottle with scissors.
4. Unscrew the cap. Use the hacksaw to make 1-2 small incisions on the neck of the bottle. Then screw the cap.
Do not make a large incision, otherwise the water will flow quickly. With a small incision fluid can flow up to 24 hours. This is great for truckers who visit your site 2-3 times a week.
5. Put the bottle on the bed by turning down the stopper and neck of electrodes sticking in the ground.
6. Pour up to full volume capacity.
Now drip ready. Bottles on 1,5-2 liters be enough for the soil irrigation for 2-3 hours. Drip irrigation and make the day. The water will not fall on the leaves, and it will follow only the soil.
You can also use a larger volume of the bottle, but then the electrodes (rods) will need more for sustainability and it is important that they have stood the volume of water. This drip irrigation is not only on the beds with vegetable crops, but also in shrubs and flowers.
