Best and simple secret storage garlic until the next harvest.
Storing garlic is quite tricky: it often dries or rots. It's a shame, since you managed to grow a rich crop of garlic, do not save it.
Spoiled garlic can not be eaten, but still have to buy a new landing material.
Having learned from their bitter experience, I decided to turn to a professional, namely, to his grandmother. How many can remember, she has garlic stored until the next harvest. And now that she has advised me:
The first step is to trim the roots and stem of garlic to 1 cm;
Second step: to take a dry glass jar (volume depends on the amount of garlic);
The third step: take the flour, can be 1st or 2nd grade;
Fourth step: put the first layer of garlic and cover it with a thin layer of flour, but so that all heads were covered with flour. Layer by layer up to the top to fill the jar.
Fifth step: Shake the jar of garlic so that the flour is evenly distributed between the bulbs of garlic. Top layer of flour can be thicker.
Sixth step: close the jar with a tight lid and put in a dark place (not the cold, can be stored in otaplevaemom room).
In this way, garlic can be stored for long periods without losses. I'm using this secret for many years and never buy garlic at the store.
