This time I want to share with you my idea realized for all of the same dishes.
And we will focus on the most important attribute of this space - the kitchen table. Sacred artifact, a point of attraction for all households and friends, a place of power, consolidating all who are in the circle of "friends" so the choice of the table - the procedure is important, and I think you'll agree, based on the feeling, the emotional intelligence that including.
Since the kitchen in my style of "Loft", scrolling through the various sites, turnkey solutions for myself, I did not find any or found inadequate for the price tag. And yes - he decided to make a table.
Pallet (or pallets) are now very topical material for furniture in the style of me.
So driven, the narrative below is how I made the table of the pallet.

1. The choice of pallets.

1.1. According to the type (or standard).
Then a moment - who they like and who some design ideas.
The most common types of wooden pallets we have it:
- "Samodelov / illiquid / our / wood" (who says that it is more pallets Soviet guests, well, let it be so);

- Europallet, 800x1200 (nuances here, below);
- and FIN-pallet or Finnish pallet, though some reason call it "American", it is not. Apparently, the reason is that everything that more 800x1200 - all "of foreign" or "American".
American standards 1200x1200 pallets have openings with characteristic under forks, unlike the Finnish with their metric 1000h1200. This information is for those who want to buy it, "Americans."
I chose the pallet and that it was important for me is to filter them:
1.2 on grades.
Higher first, second. It's simple. Above grade - the higher the price, and the most "combed" items. Below grade - more and fuss in the processing, but! Also, and more texture. Just keep this in mind. Cracks, roughness, imperfections give the finished product a sense of life.
I took the b / y, the first grade. Golden mean.
What it is important to note: if you want "the texture and detail" (you know, all the hallmarks "EUR", etc.), then carefully watching that select in the Internet Specifically, because a certified pallet can be confused with so-called 'Cargo not disposable pallet 800 × 1200 "or uncertified euro tray.
Certified has a visual bonus of stigma (actually «EUR» and the stigma of the manufacturer) and the heads of nails labeled. All this looks very cool.

1.3 Where to look for.

2. Modeling and accounting functionality.

I turned the model I wanted!
The idea was the following: I needed a mobile unit, which would be during cooking could move up to working kitchen area and moved to another part of the space and use it as a table, a bar, if necessary rack. Accordingly, as a bar, it should have a compartment under the alcohol (or oil in cooking and any other container).

As a result, I have found a compromise with himself in a U-shaped form factor.

3. Machining and assembly.

Detail paint processing of wood will not, because it's the basics, the worse the condition of the tree, the more cleaned (your captain obviousness). Different ways - tape machine, disk, hand. My table is not intended to operate in wet environments and outdoors, but if you have in mind, for example, holiday table, the action plan you must have item "processing corresponding impregnation ".

As I wrote above, the collecting table, it was necessary to consider the appointment.
In view of this, at the bottom trays were placed me like this.

Important: the height of the finished module. I have a high bar stools, so this configuration pallets, taking into account the height of the wheels was best for me. Useful height of the table in the end amounted to approx. 1m and I, as you can see, it was not necessary to shorten the end trays.

4. Accessories.

Mobility table were taken 4 castors, two of which with stops. It's enough. And you, believe me, will not every time to go and stop all 4 wheels. Do not place the wheels with the feet on one side of the width. Optimally - diagonally on the opposite sides. This is only a suggestion.
How to choose the wheels? By weight of the finished product. In the shop they are always labeled, what the maximum values ​​calculated.
Europallet has a weight of 15 to 30 kg depending from the used wood.
My 20ke were closer to each. Total: weight of the loaded table = approx. 60kg. (But it does not bring me, and roll, so ...)

More from me fittings were purchased 4 corner, also taking into account the weight (they are visible in the photo 3). Why is this method of placing worktops, rather than any other, for example, placement of the sidewalls precisely at the edges of the upper tray? It's simple: being at the table, the legs should go under it, under the tabletop. You could also put the upper tray recess in the two end, but then I lost in height, and a location close "legs" to each other would make the construction unstable and shaky.

5. Decorating.

At this point, each director himself, as my next experience, in the form of the Board:
Firstly, it is better to paint with a brush. I tried to blow out in the garage with an atomizer. Well, like, you know, it's faster, all the cases. Crazy consumption. And just as quickly. Second, you can simply primer (any wood or even metal) if necessary - kolorirovannoy do not need thousands of these layers.
My plan for finishing this: after painting I sanded surface "randomly" to the tree (for effect stripped paints), and the top will go here so here cracelures and spray matte varnish.

Top is glass top, made to order (no photos, only the glass ordered).

For the price of a table to me has managed approximately 5000r .:
- 4 pallets at 200p. and shipping = 1100r .;
- white primer, the most simple, our, «no name» + accessories and consumables = 1500R.
- the remaining amount - of the calcined glass worktop on request with holes for mounting and its transportation.

Here's a table in the end I did.
