Construction of the local area with paving slabs

For everything around the house most often used pavers. It is resistant to adverse weather conditions, has a beautiful appearance, can withstand quite severe stress. That is why I decided to ennoble local area using tiles.

Materials and tools

Before you laid paving tiles, it is necessary to prepare the area, and after embarking on beautification.

So the whole process takes less time, I pre-purchased the following materials:

directly tile itself;

borders;

tides (water flow);

gravel;

screenings (available sand);

waterproofing rolls;

cement M-500.

Of tools useful to me:

• rubber mallet head;

• capacity for masonry mixture.

Site preparation

With a tape, string and pegs was last marking portion thus immediately drew area where the soil must be removed. I desired depth is calculated as follows: tile height is 4 cm layer of dry mix required should be less than 5 cm and a base plus - 15 cm. Total, taking off the ground, I had to go deep 25 cm.

Laying tiles

First, I set borders and flow for this use ordinary cement. A mixture of tile is prepared as follows: the prepared container is filled one part cement and four parts dropout and mix thoroughly. The solution I spread directly on the ground, and then on top of it - tiles.

Since one side of the car is planned to check the house on this site directly to the cement mixture I was putting the reinforcing mesh. Thanks to this additional layer, the base will be more stringent and tile under the heavy weight will not sink.

After a few rows of tiles were laid, I wake up in the seams of sand-cement mixture. It's best to do it with a regular broom. Upon completion of work necessary to sweep away the remnants of cement and tiles carefully to shed water to the cement began to set.
