Simple shelf with brackets carved with his own hands

At the request of his wife, I decided to make a simple shelf with brackets carved from a piece of pine board 18 mm thick.

The wife really wanted to on the brackets adorned with monograms, painfully, they like it. So I began to search for the beautiful patterns on the Internet. In the last article I talked, where to find the blueprints for cuttingSo if you can read interesting.

After some searching, I found a suitable image with a pattern for the brackets and slightly altered it in Photoshop: rounded corners, made wider and adjacent sides around them thin line for more accurate cut. Below I put the finished drawing of the bracket.

When the drawing has been prepared, it printed in duplicate. Then pasted pictures on the board using double-sided tape and drilled holes in all the places where they will make internal cuts.

For cutting brackets used saws Ultra Reverse № 5. On qualitative file for jigsaws machine I described in last article. After 4 hours, carved brackets were ready.

To the bracket immediately secured regular loop (suspensions) for the shelves here in this way.

On the remaining part of the shield to the regiment had a more attractive appearance, on the one hand slightly rounded corners with a conventional electric jigsaw.

When all the parts shelves were ready, everything is carefully polished.

Now you only have to collect all. Stuck to the shelf brackets using glue "Moment" for joinery and pressed clamps. In addition, the entire structure has strengthened shkantami.

Glue dries fairly quickly and after 20 minutes the regiment was completely ready. The result was a simple but nice shelf, which I hung in the kitchen.
