To live in an expensive apartment or build your house?

Part of the decision to write this article was inspired by the wild score for public services: the content of one-bedroom apartment in one of the cities of the Volga region costs about 6-7 thousand in the winter and in the summer 3-4 thousand. In short, the rates just horse.

If we consider that two-bedroom apartment in my town is worth 3 million in a bad neighborhood, just closer to the center - from 5 million, you understand that building your own home will far cheaper.

So, what is better: an apartment or a house?
First, we shall understand with the psychological component of the issue:
In my opinion, to live at a distance from neighbors, not to deal with dysfunctional elements in its own entrance, not to listen to the screams of neighbors through the wall and enjoy the sounds of running punch - much it's better.

In addition, the contact with nature in the apartment is limited: there are only the lawn (not always in good condition) and a small park nearby. In fact, to relax in the fresh air the soul is almost impossible.

Now let's talk about the economic component.
Housing prices in all the cities are different, somewhere in Komi you can buy a two-bedroom apartment for ridiculous 500-600 thousand, but somewhere, and old "odnushka" worth 2.3 million.

Spend 2.5-3 million square meters by 30-35 Khrushchev or build for the money to own a house of 100-120 squares? In my opinion, the choice is clear: to build itself.

Inside my city 6 acres of land for individual housing construction or gardening can be bought for 700-800 thousand rubles. Technologies cottage construction today stepped so far forward that you can build a house on their own, almost without the help of professional builders, and from warm material. For the same 2-3 million rubles, you can build up your own home 100-120 squares (if you build from aerocrete and with their hands), and to equip it with everything you need: independent water supply, sewerage with septic tanks. Heat the house, built with the technology of compliance can be conditioned "warm-cold", as does the well-known blogger Victor Borisov. And a month for the supply of electricity and home heating such energy-efficient homes, you will have to leave 1,5-2 thousand rubles.

The question is: why pay thieves from HOA money for capital repairs and utilities if you can provide yourself with this on their own?
