Rare method of warming the house floor: finely crumbled straw with cow dung, earth, clay and lime.

A long time ago bought an old house, drew the attention of winter that his floor and ceiling, even without heating quite warm.

After some time, I met the seller and asked him that he used for thermal insulation of floors and ceilings? He said - everything that has been built on the point home on the land.

This cow dung, dry ground, dry clay, dry sawdust and shavings. All this it in approximately equal amounts mixed in the first dry, then diluted with water, mix again, add a little lime.

Whereupon the resulting paste was dried again, and then carefully filled with the mixture still underground, which was between the floor and the ground, with a small gap of 3-5 cm beneath the floor for air movement.

On the ceiling he used exactly the same components, only on top filled additional layer clays, also separately mixed with a small amount of lime.

Important that at first all you need to mix dry and only then to add water! It's all very easy to do! The main thing to remember - this mixture does not ignite!
