It doesn't matter what it is for - hang the picture or fix the cornice, which will remain here forever. No point!

Let's tell you how to drill "invisible holes". The method is insanely simple, but there are some nuances, without knowing which it is unlikely that something will work out. I share my experience in great detail. Everything as you like. Go.

Method essence

1. We mark the future hole.
2. Using a painting knife, cut the wallpaper along the contour.
3. We turn the wallpaper aside.
4. We drill a hole in the exposed part of the wall.
5. We insert the dowel and hang what we need.

When the time comes to give the living space to the owners, we take out the dowel and glue the lapel of the wallpaper in its original place. It will be possible to notice that there was once a hole here only if you know where it was and look closely. And that's not a fact.

Pitfalls to Face

To prevent the edge of the wallpaper from peeling off

When we cut through the wallpaper around the future hole, we do not cut end-to-end, but give a margin of 3-5 millimeters on each side. Otherwise, then there will be nothing to glue them to. The wallpaper does not adhere well to the air (hole).

So that there is no "hump" on the wall

Sometimes, I cut the wallpaper in the place of the future hole with a "cross" and turned it in different directions. When you drill, dust accumulates underneath and on the side under the wallpaper. If it is not immediately blown out (vacuumed), after the "restoration" of the wall, a noticeable hump remains. The same thing happens if you turn the cut part of the wallpaper down or to the side.

therefore I always turn the "strap" up.

For the same reason, during drilling, I glue the place of the future hole with masking tape (I drill through it). Dust has no chance of getting under the cut edge of the wallpaper.

So that the fold does not catch the eye

There is always a fold at the fold of the wallpaper. If you don't remove it, it will be striking. I pull out the dowel from the wall. Dusting this place. With all my heart I moisten the wallpaper around the hole, smooth and glue it. It seems that there was a hole here, but no one will know about it.
