How I made a dollhouse. Order from Santa Claus.
A week before the New Year, I received an order to make a dollhouse. One little girl wrote a letter to Santa Claus and asked for such a house.
And on December 31, the house was sent to the girl.
The order was generally interesting. This is the first time I have made such a product, and then I propose to see how it was made.
For the manufacture I used 10 mm plywood. Cutting was done using quick-release guide.
Narrow details were cut on homemade circular.
And cut into parts with circular sled.
I decided to do the assembly on dowels, and since the plywood is 10 mm thick, I took the dowels 6 mm in diameter.
For drilling for dowels, I used my homemade filler router.
There were a lot of fences in this project and although I cut them in packs of two, it was probably the most time consuming part of the job.
He cut out windows, arches and doorways with a jigsaw.
The house also had a gable roof. And for her it was necessary to cut the ends at an angle. To do this, tilt the saw blade. And in this operation, my sled showed an advantage over the trough-shaped sled. Next scroll through the gallery
The house had to be made in two colors, so before painting I carried out a preliminary assembly.
Painted with a roller, acrylic enamel.
During the final assembly, the dowels were glued and assembled sequentially floor by floor. Scroll through the gallery.
As a result, we have such a puppet mansion.
