Why is there so much grayness and darkness in a large house - the guests did not appreciate the renovation of the new settlers
The family decided to move to live outside the city, closer to nature, where they bought a finished house with a minimum fine finish. The couple decided to create the interior themselves, not adhering to any particular style. Ideas were drawn from Scandinavian interiors, loft and modernism.
When the renovation was completed, the family invited guests to the house, but they did not appreciate the furnishings - a lot of gray and dark colors. Let's see what happened to the owners of the house.
The kitchen is combined with the living room, and shares a narrow table like a bar counter. Also, the recreation areas and the kitchen are delimited by the floor. The kitchen has tiles and the living room has laminate flooring. They also decided to trim part of the wall behind the TV.
The kitchen is quite large, in light and dark gray shades. The upper facades, table top, apron imitate a concrete surface - elements of the loft style. In terms of functionality, everything is done conveniently. But a steel refrigerator would definitely look better.
A wide window sill serves as a useful area at the same time - under it there are also cabinets and a niche with a microwave oven.
The design of the living room is difficult to attribute to a specific style, but the wallpaper is clearly from the past and in any case spoil the whole impression of the interior. Concrete plaster or just plain paint would be more appropriate here.
Tiered ceilings are also dated, although the small perimeter step doesn't look too bad. While the renovation was underway, the couple used old upholstered furniture, later they bought a new modern sofa.
The dark gray curtains are combined with the shades of the kitchen and are well matched to the design of the room.
Later, shelves were added to the wall with the TV, the screen itself, by the way, was also changed to a larger op size. After purchasing a new gray sofa, the interior is complete and quite stylish. Even the wallpaper doesn't look so bad.
The residents are very pleased with the resulting renovation and it really looks quite modern and stylish. There are no annoying paints and unnecessary items. Monochrome shades are very soothing.
But the elderly neighbors invited to the housewarming did not understand such dullness and said that in such a house everything could have been made brighter.
❓❓❓What do you think? Is there a lack of color or is everything very stylish?
