Correct adjustment of the summer and winter mode of plastic windows
Plastic windows can be adjusted depending on what time of year it is outside the window. there are two modes in total - winter and summer. The first one implies a tighter pressing of the sash to the frame. The second, on the contrary, reduces the clamping force.
Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to properly regulate plastic windows. And some even urge not to try to do this, because they are sure. that this could lead to structural failure.
I must say right away that regulation is quite possible, the main thing is to understand what and how to regulate. When you open the window at the side end, you can see these regulators (pins). It is with the help of them that the winter-summer mode is set.
There are special marks on the trunnions, they can look different. Some have just drawn black marks, while others have small indentations.
In my case, there are in-depth risks that can be easily navigated. Everything is very simple. When the risk is turned on you, that is, straight into the room, this indicates that the window is set for summer mode and its pressing to the frame is minimal.
If we need to adjust the winter mode, we simply turn the trunnion so that its risk is directly facing the street. For a complete understanding, you can study the photo a little higher.
The adjustment itself is made with pliers, a Phillips screwdriver or a hexagon. it all depends on the design of your windows and their manufacturers.
