Incredibly stylish bedside table turned out from a Soviet lacquer wreck

Our heroine is fond of reworking furniture, sometimes she buys old furniture from advertisements for a nominal fee. The girl bought this old lacquer cabinet on Avito, she was attracted by the compact and neat shape. Interesting ideas for rework immediately appeared in my head.

Such models of furniture today can be found in the apartments of elderly people, in the same place where they make repairs, they get rid of such wreckage. But the pursuit of creativity and self-expression gives these things new life.

First, the girl degreased the surface of the cabinet, then primed it. In places where there were chips, I applied a paste for volumetric technique. Then I applied three coats of paint (London color) to the outer surface, inside the paint I applied in one layer (Château Margot color).

For decoration I used gold leaf, an excellent combination of matte surface and gold. I fixed the hinges with a door closer and a metal handle in the form of a rose. I used glossy wax instead of varnish.

The result is a very cool, stylish and modern nightstand. Now you can't say that before it was classic Soviet furniture, which at one time was in almost every home.

Small interior items can be remodeled even at home; large pieces may require a spacious room. If you do not yet know what the furniture will turn out to be after the alteration, then small models are suitable for experiments by novice designers.

Agree, as a result of simple work, a minimum amount of materials, small temporary costs, the girl made a cool piece of furniture that fits perfectly into the modern registration.
