To do this, use a solution of potassium permanganate (dissolve 2 grams per 5 liters of water). This is best done immediately after the snow melts to prevent bacteria from developing.

Use a similar proportion with the addition of copper sulfate in order to prevent damage to peonies.

As for watering, at the stage of bud formation and growth of shoots with leaves of peony bushes, provide the plant with the maximum amount of moisture in the soil.

Lush bloom

As regrettable as it may sound, the removal of excess buds will ensure the lush flowering of the peony. We recommend removing lateral buds from perennial bushes in May.

Such radical measures must be resorted to especially for young plants, because they develop a root system and grow. Also, in the first two years of flowering, all buds must be removed for the plant to form.

However, if you prefer to admire not the size of flowers, but their quantity, then abandon this procedure altogether.
