My Favorite Onion Feed That I Always Get An Impressive Harvest
I often met the opinion that the bow is unpretentious. Indeed, it can grow in the garden in almost any conditions. But if you want to harvest a large harvest of juicy, spicy, fragrant bulbs, well stored for a long time, you have to work hard!
It is not difficult to find basic agricultural techniques of this culture, but with what to fertilize onions? At one time, I tried a lot of store-bought synthetic products, as well as folk recipes, even brought sleeping coffee to the onion beds.
But then, having studied some literature on the biology of plants and onions in particular, she developed her own recipe for feeding, thanks to which I annually, regardless of weather conditions and the varieties of onions chosen for planting, collect excellent harvest!
To prepare this miracle remedy, you need:
1. Pick 500 g of young nettle and chop it coarsely for better juicing
2. Fill the grass with 10 liters of warm water.
3. Add 300 g fresh yeast.
4. Break and add 200 g of rye bread. You can take fresh or dried, the main thing is that it is not already moldy.
All components should be in the container under the lid and stand in a warm place for 48 hours. Then the solution must be filtered.
Its composition may seem surprising, but each ingredient has its own specific task:
1. Nettle contains essential oils that disinfect the soil from pathogens of common fungal diseases that are dangerous for onions, and scares away some insect pests from it. And besides, it stimulates the development of the root system.
2. Bread increases the fertility of the soil, as it activates the activity of the beneficial bacteria that live in it, helps the onion to better extract nutrients from it.
3. Yeast enhances the processing of any organic matter in the soil, saturates it with nitrogen and oxygen, which allows the onion to form full-fledged turnips of high commercial quality.
It is not necessary to dilute the fertilizing solution with water - you can immediately fertilize the onion beds with it after the usual watering. And it is enough to do this once every 2-3 weeks, and 2 weeks before the expected harvest, it is time to stop.
Thanks to this feeding, I manage not only to collect unusually large onion turnips in large quantities, but also to cut off a lot of lush green mass, that is, onion feathers, throughout the season.
