Sometimes a part needs to be clamped in two planes, I saw solutions to this problem on the Internet, but the idea of ​​a simpler device came up.

Making homemade products

Sometimes, when gripping parts with a clamp, an additional, end clamping of the workpiece is required, and now an idea came to how this can be done. To do this, I needed a plate, hairpin, nut, bar and washer. He skirted the plate around the clamp bar, cut and squeezed the nut with it, which fixed with soda superglue, easier - by welding, but I do not have it yet. By the way, this mount is surprisingly reliable, I didn't even expect it!

This stage turned out to be the simplest, it was still necessary to make a clamping device, here I had to tinker. Difficulties arose with the manufacture of a movable jaw from a washer, it had to be bent, this is not a problem, but to stop it is another problem. He unscrewed it by drilling a hole from the side of the handle and fixing it with a wire, and on the other hand, drilling a hole and fixing it with a rivet through a small washer.

I made a handle from a wooden block, drilled a hole in it for a hairpin, installed it after applying glue, then grinded it with a petal disk on a angle grinder. For beauty and protection from decay, burned with gas and impregnated with oil. Done, checked, everything works great!

The result is a mobile pressure device, which clings to the bar with a hook of the plate, and easily moves along it to the desired place. I wonder if such a homemade product would be useful to you?
