Soviet tiles, an old stove and a yellowed microvonovka
Today, thanks to the availability of information and the availability of a huge amount of finishing materials, each person can come up with a design for a living space on their own.
It is not difficult to choose interesting examples, supplement them with your own ideas and even make repairs with your own hands. Of course, in some cases, one cannot do without professional knowledge and experience, but, more often than not, anyone can make repairs.
Our heroine decided to make repairs in the kitchen, in a recently purchased apartment. But, since a woman is limited in means, I had to choose inexpensive materials that fit the Scandinavian style.
This trend is very popular, firstly, because of the simplicity of the materials, and secondly, because of the cool and stylish look that supports the idea of preserving free space.
The walls in the room and the backsplash were originally tiled with square white tiles, which were common in Soviet times. Even today you can find this material in old bathrooms or kitchens. They did not touch the tile.
In our case, it perfectly suits the design of the Scandinavian style.
Since the room is small near the window, they put a refrigerator, on it there is an old, yellowed with time, microwave oven. If desired, of course, it was possible to wash it a little, but the hostess also arranged this option.
An old Soviet stove is separated from the refrigerator by a cargo in which a woman stores pots and lids. Above the stove, instead of a hood, they believed a wooden open shelf.
The sink was placed in the sink, the knives were hung on a magnet attached to the refrigerator. At the entrance, they put an open white cabinet in which dishes, other kitchen utensils and household appliances are stored.
A dining area was made near the opposite wall, a table with a semicircular white top and chairs were placed here.
Despite the fact that simple and inexpensive materials were chosen for the interior of the kitchen, the decoration turned out to be neat, cute and cozy.
The open curbstone below looks somewhat unusual, but, in general, the hostess managed to make a rather interesting interior with a limited budget.
