Surprisingly clean cut. Band saw blade testing on oak planks
I have tried several different types of band saw blades from different manufacturers, but this blade turned out to be the best in my opinion.
For a band saw, the task of cutting into thin boards is quite common. This is especially true for valuable types of wood, when every opportunity is sought to use the material most effectively.
I recently purchased this kind of canvas for my ribbon.
I took this canvas precisely for dissolution into thinner boards, and this canvas is positioned precisely for such tasks. There may be other options, but this was exactly what I had on my saw.
The thickness of the blade is 0.5 mm, which is very good, since less material goes into the sawdust.
I first tested it on pine planks about 100mm wide. I sawed through about 30 m / n and was satisfied with the result.
Here I will show you what happened after the dissolution of a couple of oak boards.
At first I decided to dissolve a thin board into unequal parts, and a thinner residue turned out to be less than 2 mm. the saw ran very smoothly.
The cleanliness of the cut surface was very surprising. Although the saw teeth marks are visible, their depth is very shallow.
Then he dismissed the 40 mm oak board in half.
The board was 130 mm high and sawed like clockwork
And close-up.
I was very pleased with the result. With this canvas, the cleanest surface is obtained in comparison with other canvases that I have previously used.
