How I bought a soft mattress and at first it seemed too hard to me
The mattress is one of the important things that directly affects our well-being, health and even mood. I approached his choice with all seriousness and did a lot of analytical work.
How to choose a mattress?
Undoubtedly, in the presence of diseases associated with the spine, cardiovascular system, it is necessary to coordinate the choice of a mattress with the attending physician. If there are no serious diseases, you can independently approach the choice.
Mattresses are spring and springless. I immediately excluded springless mattresses from my search, as they are relatively expensive. In turn, the spring ones are divided into "with an independent spring block" and "with dependent springs". I decided to consider mattresses with independent springs only.
Also mattresses are divided by hardness. Depending on the manufacturer, there are different grades of hardness. The most detailed one I found:
· Very hard;
· Hard;
· average;
· Soft;
· Very soft.
It is believed that large people prefer to choose harder mattresses, and thin ones - softer. I belong to the second category, and in general I like it to be as soft as possible. But I didn’t want the body to “fall through” and the spine to bend strongly.
My choice fell on a soft mattress Lonax Light Swift Plus Mattress because of the manufacturer's adequate pricing policy, environmental friendliness and hypoallergenicity of the fillers:
The height of my mattress is 17 cm:
It is also important to purchase a mattress cover - this is a kind of cover that is attached to the top of the mattress and protects it from dirt.
Better to have it from the same manufacturer:
First impressions
I didn't really like the first night on the chosen mattress. There was a feeling that my legs were numb. Apparently, even this softest mattress is not soft enough for me.
I felt like a princess and a pea.
I began to "google" what should I do in such a situation. I found out that if you are dissatisfied with the softness of the mattress, you can correct it with a "topper". These are such thin mattresses, about 5 cm wide. They are tougher (if the mattress turned out to be too soft) and there are softening ones - just for my case.
On the second night, it was customary to put a blanket on top of the mattress topper. So it became much softer. The feeling that my legs are numb is gone.
Impressions now
Gradually, I completely removed the blanket-topper. Now, as soon as I touch the bed with my body, I instantly fall asleep. The mattress feels soft, comfortable, just the way it should be.
There will probably be an addictive effect with any mattress.
