Evaluate an example of a home heating system with Eco Ondol electric rods
Most owners of houses under construction have a desire to operate them with the least difficulty and cost. This applies in particular to heating systems. What to do for those who have no opportunity to connect to the main gas pipeline? Many have no desire to live in the furnace during the winter, throwing up coal or firewood 2-3 times a day.
Even autonomous gas supply systems (buried in the areas of tanks) and automatic coal boilers - do not exempt from their maintenance, and sometimes repair (they also have a decent cost equipment). And in the current realities and energy prices, heating from electricity becomes profitable and most convenient. In particular, this convenience and economy is felt over a long period of operation from 10 years. Although, even 5 years ago, it was believed that heating from electricity was too expensive.
Calculation in this article: This electric heating scheme is cheaper than gas heating
And if there is a possibility of connecting to a gas pipe, then you can often hear about the costs of connecting in the amount of 300 thousand, 500 thousand. and even more than 1 million rub. Examples of connection costs were given here.
Isn't it easier to install a simple, reliable and maintenance-free heating system from electricity on some of these funds? And about the expensive heating - judge for yourself at the end of the article. In this article, we will consider an example of the project and installation of a heating system with Eco Ondol electric rods.
What is this heating system, I wrote in the article: New type of heating - Eco Ondol rods
Let's move on to a specific object, excerpts from the project, figures for power consumption and equipment cost.
Wooden house in the Leningrad region. There is a bathhouse and a garage on the plot, they are also planned to be heated. Total area of heated buildings: 300 m2. Dedicated electrical power: 30 kW (technical specifications for two sections of 15 kW).
According to heat engineering calculations, almost all 30 kW must be transferred to heating. The selected heating system with warm floors with heating rods Eco Ondol. Peak electricity consumption will be as low as 13 kW, and not 30 kW (while maintaining the calculated heat transfer). This is achieved thanks to automation systems when heating elements are switched on in the rooms. The rods in each room work in total in total 20-30 minutes per hour.
A project was made for the location of heating rods for underfloor heating:
Project estimate made:
The system was installed on this area in 6 days:
Installation process, layout of Eco Ondol heating rods.
Initial data, wishes of the customer and what happened in the practice of operating facilities in 2019:
Installation work cost: 120 thous. rub. Although, any self-builder can do everything himself, nothing complicated. If you have any questions, the specialists of the equipment supplier will advise. In total, it turned out 998 thousand. rub. on an area of 300 m2 from 19 zones (rooms).
For a house with an area of 120 m2, the proportional amount with installation will be approximately 400 thousand. rub. This is more expensive than other heating systems at the stage of purchasing and installing equipment. But for a period of operation of 10 years, it turns out cheaper. Comparison with other systems can be downloaded from link
Skeptics in the comments in the previous article wrote that physics cannot be fooled, that with average thermal performance of the walls of a house, 1 kW of energy is needed for every 10 m2 of heated rooms. And from the calculations it turns out that 30 kW of electricity is needed for 300 m2. But in the case of the Eco Ondol system, space heating occurs sequentially (or in sections) with peak consumption, as I wrote above - 13 kW: some rods heated up and turned off - others turned on.
Underfloor heating from a heating cable, electrically conductive underfloor heating from a boiler with such a heated area of 300 m2 and with such a power consumption of 13 kW - they will not cope with maintaining a comfortable temperature. And this system, as you can see from the project, allows you to solve the problem. Power consumption in the coldest month - 4320 kWh. For 300 m2, this is a very small figure in the presence of comfort and complete non-participation in the heating process and maintenance of its systems.
