How to get out of the situation if the wallpaper has run out and one wall is not glued

Once we started repairs in our apartment, and started with the smallest room - 12 meters high. We wanted to change the wallpaper, floor, baseboards.

Expectations

Since the side is not sunny, I wanted warm, cozy tones, a la crème brulee, but with a twist. The choice fell on such vinyl wallpaper on a non-woven base 1 meter wide with the name "Damascus":

As many rolls were bought as needed to cover all the walls, taking into account the fit of the picture.

On the floor, it was decided to put a plain, without patterns, dark coffee-colored carpet:

Before the renovation, the wallpaper was removed into the corridor, into a cabinet built into the wall, and went on vacation for 2 weeks. When they returned, they hired a team of repairmen. They got to work.

Reality

After gluing 3 walls and unpacking the last roll, the workers reported that the roll was defective - there were black dots all over the roll. We didn't understand what it was - mold, or a manufacturing defect. The question arose of finding the same wallpaper. In the store where the last batch was purchased, we were told that the next arrival in a month.

This did not suit us, since our workers could not wait a month, and we did not want to wait so long. Moreover, the wallpaper from the new batch may differ slightly.

After going around a few more stores and after sitting for a day on the sites of online stores, we realized that we could not quickly get 1 roll of the same wallpaper. Then, they began to think about how to get out of the situation, and here are the options:

· Find monochromatic wallpapers of similar color for 1 wall;

· Paint with paint similar in color;

· Release the workers, wait for receipt in a month;

· Come up with a creative solution.

After spending another day on the Internet, and already almost desperate, I saw a picture where on 3 walls there are light wallpaper with a pattern, similar to mine, a dark floor, and on the 4th wall there are dark wallpapers with a different pattern. It was beautiful, creative and very stylish!

Not wanting to delay the repair for more than a day, I found these non-woven wallpaper 1 meter wide:

Having estimated in all kinds of interior designers how it would look, 1 roll was ordered from stock, which was delivered by delivery on the same day.

The workers, of course, were surprised. But the result is really creative and pleasing to the eye!

Both types of wallpaper were combined with carpet, and, probably, therefore, did not contradict each other:

Now this wall is our favorite, which appeared so unexpectedly and pleases the eye.
