What Zucchini are suitable for growing on the balcony. Eat a healthy vegetable all year round
Everyone wants to eat delicious, organic vegetables, but unfortunately, not everyone has their own garden plot!
I was lucky - once in a magazine I read an article about setting up a mini-vegetable garden on a glazed city loggia and decided to repeat it.
Most of all, I love growing zucchini on it and I want to share what varieties of them are most suitable for such extraordinary conditions.
Belogor F1
Very early! Already after 38-44 days, you can remove white-greenish fruits weighing 0.5-1 kg. The pulp is firm, but tender, and also savory. In my opinion, this is a universal culinary variety!
It tolerates sharp temperature fluctuations, so it can be planted in the very early spring. For full development at the seedling stage, it needs additional lighting with phytolamps.

Also from the early - fruiting occurs in 46-57 days. The fruits are light green, without stripes, weighing 0.6-1.2 kg. The pulp is light yellow or even pinkish yellow.
The delicate taste, in my opinion, is lost in winter salads and other preparations with vinegar, so it is better to save this variety for summer salads and Italian dishes - pasta, lasagna.
Sterile
The original name hides a unique variety! Fruiting in 36-44 days, each zucchini weighing 0.6-0.9 kg. The plant is formed by a bush.
Fruits are slightly ribbed, whitish with pale yellow pulp. Ideal for conservation! But I think it is important to warn you - even in the "greenhouse" conditions of the home garden, this variety is ready to cling to all sorts of diseases of the culture, for example, gray rot. He is also very picky about watering.
Speaking of zucchini for the balcony, it is impossible to overlook the zucchini and, in my opinion, the best variety among them is Kuand. Ripens in 52-61 days.
Fruits weighing 1.1-1.5 kg, cylindrical, pale green color with intermittent bright green stripes. Kuand is a real gift for fans of organic farming!
From personal experience, I can say that it grows excellently even without the use of store-bought chemical fertilizers. You can limit yourself to regular compost.
Summing up, I want to say that when growing on a loggia, you can plant seedlings of zucchini early on a permanent place - because the conditions here are incomparably milder in comparison with open ground.
