How to independently fill the foundation under the fence, stages of work, what nuances should be taken into account

Before proceeding with the installation of the fence, I decided to create a foundation for the reinforced concrete fence.

This decision was made for several reasons. Firstly, thanks to the foundation, the entire structure will gain additional strength, and its bearing capacity will increase. Secondly, animals cannot enter my territory from the side of the street and neighboring areas. Thirdly, during the rainy season, the ground located under the posts and type-setting elements of the fence will not be washed out.

The foundation installation process included the following steps:

• Initially, I cleared the area where construction work was planned from debris, stones, tree roots.

• Marked the site. I used a laser level for these purposes, thanks to which I was able to determine the points to determine the geometry of the future fence and the evenness of the corners.

• At a distance of 2 meters from each other, I installed pegs. It is in these places that the posts for the type-setting reinforced concrete fence should be located.

• Inside the trench, at a two-meter distance from each other, according to the markings, I installed concrete posts and fixed them.
• Along the entire perimeter, between the posts, I dug trenches myself, 50 cm deep. He leveled the walls and the bottom with a shovel, poured a layer of rubble and sand, 10 cm thick.

• The next step was the installation of the foundation formwork. For these purposes, I used boards, plywood fragments. The fixing of the wooden elements was carried out by means of self-tapping screws, the reinforcement was driven in from the outside in order for it to support the formwork.

• Cement mortar was poured into the formwork, along the entire perimeter of the site, into which fine-grained crushed stone was added.
• The foundation hardened for a week, after which I dismantled the formwork.

• As soon as the cement structure acquired its technical properties, I started assembling the fence.
