The New Year is ahead, which means that you need to thoroughly prepare... And let's start, perhaps, with the living room! Rather, with its transformation! Oh no, don't think about it - this is not an article about tinsel, a Christmas tree and toys... I want to tell you how to transform your living room so that there is enough money for gifts too !!!

Good afternoon dear friends!

Inexpensive and even free decor can change the look of a living room just as well as expensive accessories. The simplest things that are sold in ordinary stores can turn into decorative jewelry. The main thing here is to find the right ideas and techniques for their transformation. Then add a little imagination and free time... And now the once faceless living room is transformed into a beautiful and stylish space that you no longer want to leave. At the same time, I want to note, with minimal costs.

1.Natural elements. Plants fill the room with life and color. But in order for them to become a full-fledged decoration, you need to choose indoor flowers of interesting colors with an unusual leaf shape. Dried herbs, buds and leaves can also noticeably revive your interior. Even artificial flowers will serve as an excellent decorative decoration, it is only necessary to disguise them as much as possible and turn them into "living" ones.

You can decorate a coffee table, chest of drawers or a bedside table with a home plant, and it is better to take a free wall with a copy with lush hanging foliage. If you are lucky, then on sites like Avito, from friends or grandmothers in the market, you can find a vegetable "favorite" for symbolic money or for free.

2.New furnishings. No need to buy anything, work with what you have! Clear the room of old, worn out or just unnecessary things, put things in order on all surfaces, on walls and in corners. And consider a new arrangement of furniture.

Sometimes a banal rearrangement of furniture can radically change the entire atmosphere of the space. I think the "strong half" will not refuse to help you.

3.Personalized decor. «Add a touch of yourself, your hobbies. For example, photographs and souvenirs from distant and not so countries, old family pictures, portraits or photo collages depicting family and friends. Take a closer look at the heirlooms or antiques that people give away under the headings "Hand to Hand".

You can decorate the room with an ornament that will fold into your own initials or surname. This will make the living room special.

4.Inexpensive rugs. Carpets bring warmth and comfort to the space. However, you don't have to buy a large, lush and expensive floor covering to decorate your living room. Small, inexpensive rugs that can be found on the market or in chain stores can also cope with this task.

Floor coverings are very easy to combine with each other. They help zone the space and group furniture. And today it is fashionable to lay carpets on top of each other. So, for example, you can put several new ones on a large old carpet, but more modest in size.

5.DIY painting. Have you ever painted and have doubts about your artistic ability? No problem! You can still draw a picture. Buy a canvas or large cardboard sheet, paints and brushes from the store. And start creating! Geometric shapes, straight lines, picturesque splashes, strokes and smudges - all this does not require special skills. Better to look for ideas from contemporary artists. You will find many interesting things!

You can also remember your children's crafts and "draw" an abstraction with a thread, use prints of various objects, stencils or application techniques. The possibilities for creativity are not limited here!

6.Items from the past. Wow, how many interesting things are stored in my grandmother's attic and my grandfather's garage! It's time to take inventory! And not only there, but also in the parents' closet! If you don't have time for that, you can stroll through antique shops or flea markets looking for vintage items.

Find some old furniture? Great! It will come in handy. It can be restored, repainted or completely redesigned. For example, a chic hanger will turn out from a wooden staircase, magazines or handicrafts can be conveniently placed in a wicker basket, children's toys can be stored in a chest, and a soft seat can be made on the lid. Of course, you have to work hard, but you will get an unforgettable decor.
