Is it worth buying a multibaker and why is it not suitable for a large family?
With the advent of new gadgets and gadgets, every girl, woman wants to get everything at once. This is how it seems at first glance:
· Will save time;
· Facilitate cooking;
· And just curious.
But the pluses do not always correspond to reality.
My first purchase was a Redmond multibaker with waffle, sandwich and grill tops. It has a stylish matte black finish, comes with three interchangeable Teflon-coated panels, easy-to-understand instructions in multiple languages and a recipe brochure. If desired, you can buy different panels for an additional fee.
Of course, the first thing I cooked in the multi-baker was Viennese waffles. I must say right away that the composition of the batter should contain something fatty (butter, cottage cheese), since without this the dough will stick so that it is very difficult to tear it off.
By asking the manufacturer in a group on one of the social networks: "Why does everything stick to the panels?" The answer was: "Oil the surface." Although the advertisements and instructions say that baking is without oil. After a little torment with the recipe, I made sure that nothing was smeared on the surface. Since then the oil burns on the coating of the panels with a dirty yellow coating and it is very difficult to wash it off. This is the first disadvantage.
I can't say anything bad about the remaining two panels, as I made hot sandwiches on them, sausages, puffs from purchased puff pastry with fillings - nothing sticks, except for sausages true. They had to be torn off a little.
The second, for me the main and actually deplorable minus, was the cooking time. When you live alone it is probably convenient. But when the husband and children are waiting for sweets for breakfast, and 4 puffs or 2 waffles are baked ± 10 minutes. This is getting annoying. I just want to turn on the oven and finish everything at once.
But in my case, the multibaker could not stand the preparation of the fish. After not using it for a while, I decided to cook fish steaks on it. Having selected the bar for the grill, I turned on the device, waited for the red indicator to switch to green and put two small pieces there, which I had previously coated with sauce so that they would not stick. It took 12-15 minutes to cook. But after putting in the third batch, my miracle device turned off. If oil or excess liquid gets under the panels, the Multi Baker may shut down. It is enough to disconnect it from the network, cool and wipe everything with a cloth. But it didn't help mine.
And it happened just 2 weeks after the end of the warranty period. Whether it's a coincidence or not, I don't know. I'm waiting for my husband, who will disassemble and see what happened.
In general, the device is not bad, when you live alone - so generally perfect. The main thing is not to overheat. In general, tell me, can anyone have this? How did you fix it? And more - what to buy next?
