An annoying mistake in installing a fence that will catch up with you in winter
A fence made of corrugated board is now found at every step. This is understandable: the people no longer want to put up wooden palisades, which will rot in 5-7 years. We are not rich enough to build stone fences either. That leaves a professional sheet.
In principle, the material is good if you take sheets with a thickness of at least 0.45 mm, and at a height of 2 meters, fasten the fence to at least 3 guides from a 40 * 20 mm profile pipe.
But there is one nuance that every second independent fence builder from a professional sheet seems to forget on purpose. We look.
Summer, birds sing, carefree time. Another would be to put up a fence as soon as possible. You attach the sheet to the guides and drill it well. And think?
In our gardening, every second man forgot to make the lower gap of 5-7 centimeters, or better 10 between the ground and the lower edge of the fence (which, by the way, should be smooth, and rough - on top).
And already in winter this error "catches up" many of them. The alley is cleaned from snow "to asphalt", and inside the site itself the snow accumulates. By February, the snow layer on the inside of the fence is already 70-80 centimeters.
As a result, closer to spring, the snow begins to melt during the day and freeze at night. And the heavy snow begins to squeeze out, bend the profiled sheet from the inside out.
In the spring, men come to the polling stations, and here you can observe a terrible ...
A tiny gap of 5 centimeters under the sheet of the profiled sheet will not make the weather: the dog will not get through, the cat is also unlikely. Thieves - even more so.
But the profiled sheet will not bend, and the wind will quietly circulate around the site, the air will be fresh. Relevant if the cesspool is next to the fence.
Did you make a gap under the fence?
What will you see in the spring at the dacha?
