This only works when growing seedlings in cups or other containers. But even in this case, the plants adapt for a long time to new conditions, they do not start growing well at first.

The best option for planting cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins is to sow these crops with seeds directly on the beds.

When to sow in the garden

Cucumbers are a thermophilic plant, so there is no need to rush to sow seeds in open ground. Sowing should be provided that night temperatures do not drop below +10 degrees. If you plant cucumbers in unheated soil, then the seedlings will have to wait a long time.

At temperatures below +8 degrees, these plants stop growing. If this temperature is kept for a long time, the cucumbers can get sick and disappear. Seeds of zelentz are sown when the threat of frost disappears.

The soil

Cucumbers grow well in fertile land. No chemistry can be used on these plants. Organic fertilizers are used. For 1 sq. m you will need 2 buckets of humus and 0.5 liters of ash. The earth must be dug up. Dry soil should be shed before sowing.

Cucumbers set fruit well at a temperature of + 25- + 30 degrees during the day, and + 18- + 22 degrees at night. On hot days (more than 30 degrees), the leaves begin to dry out, the plants bear less fruit.

Top dressing

Cucumbers grow quickly and intensively under favorable conditions, so they should be fed periodically with organic matter. Before flowering, cucumbers to build up the green mass require nitrogen fertilizers in the form of infusion of mullein, chicken droppings, weeds from nettles and dandelions, and yeast.

The latter is prepared as follows. Dilute 10 grams of dry yeast into a three-liter jar of warm water. The solution should stand for 2-3 hours. Then you need to prepare a working solution. Pour 1 liter of masterbatch into a bucket of water and pour abundantly at the root.

Top dressing can be alternated every 10-14 days: nitrogen fertilizers, then yeast infusion.

During flowering, you should feed the cucumbers with wood ash. You will need 1 glass of the substance, which must be poured into a 10 liter bucket of water and stirred. Then pour the strawberries under the bush (0.5 liters each). Ash can be poured (one teaspoon per bush) under the root and water the plants.
