Why did things go bad? 6 mistakes that are very common when washing
Surely you follow a certain "ritual" before washing: sort things by color, turn them inside out inside out, wash up problem spots, etc. But still, sometimes you take out a little from the washing machine tainted things. So what are you doing wrong?
Good afternoon dear friends!
In fact, there are a lot of nuances, and you simply cannot take things like “throw-on-get” prepared in advance, you also need to do it right! Since while things are spinning in the drum, they can stretch or sit, lose color or stain, get confused or get lost ...
And so that you can wear your things as long as possible, I have prepared a list of 6 common mistakes you make when washing your laundry.
Mistake # 1. You are using too much chemicals. It would seem that the more powder you use, the cleaner your clothes will be. But no! A lot of powder, a lot of foam. And the rinsing process does not last forever, and the water simply does not have time to completely rinse the fibers of the fabric. As a result, your clothes become hard, white spots appear on them and repeated washing will be inevitable.
Therefore, always follow the instructions, and try to select the amount of powder based on both the parameters of the water (hardness) and the degree clothing contamination: practically clean (the thing is worn once), dirty (it smells like sweat), very dirty (there are stains from grass, jam, juice, chocolate).
Mistake # 2. Do not button or open things. Remember that you need to fasten all-all zippers. Otherwise, during the washing process, the teeth can catch on the fabric and as a result, untidy puffs will appear on the clothes (especially from woolen and thin fabrics).
But with buttons and buttons, the opposite is true! They need to be unbuttoned. For fastened buttons are easier to tear off during washing. During the twisting process, the buttons stretch and deform the loops.
Mistake number 3. Mix different types of fabrics. It is not enough to sort the laundry by color; the type of fabric must also be taken into account. In addition to the fact that dense materials can damage thinner ones, some of them also lose fiber particles, while others willingly cling to them. As a result, you pull "fluffy" trousers or "bald" sweater out of the washer.
For example, blankets, thermal underwear and fleece clothes are always washed separately from other fabrics, and synthetics cannot be put in the same drum with terry towels.
Mistake # 4. Add bleach. Did you know that bleach is harmful to fabrics? No! So keep in mind that using it too often leads to thinning of the fibers and, as a result, clothing tears more easily. Therefore, you do not need to use bleach unnecessarily.
It is better to use folk remedies, for example: potassium permanganate, citric acid, soda, hydrogen peroxide or mustard. They are safer for both tissue and humans.
Mistake # 5. Do not use a laundry bag. Delicate items and linen, as a rule, are washed in a special bag. But besides them, a variety of small things can be folded inside: socks, children's mittens, gloves... It is they who often in the process "hide" among other clothes or are simply lost in the depths of the washing machine. And they have nowhere to get out of the bag.
Believe me, it is much more convenient and safer to wash small things this way.
Mistake # 6. Use a towel conditioner. Do your towels feel very soft and fluffy after washing with conditioner? Do not rejoice ahead of time! It's not for long. Just a few washes will cause the conditioner to penetrate deep into the fibers of the fabric and, alas, the towels will become much worse at absorbing moisture. Therefore, terry cloths are always washed without any industrial softeners.
If you want the towels to be soft, then use baking soda, salt, vinegar, ammonia, or balls for washing.
