The name day for all Catherine is December 7, so I decided to call my friend, with whom I had a lot in my youth. They were not friendly for long, life quickly divorced us. But Katyukha (she loved to be called that) was completely impossible, charming and lucky freak. It was fun, easy and a little scary with her. Recently we met her by chance in a shopping center, exchanged phone numbers.

And in conversation with laughter, they recalled how she, the hairdresser, in my kitchen did highlighting for me, which no one else had in the late 80s, it was just the latest squeak of fashion. Katyukha took hydrogen peroxide, diluted it in water. She put a plastic bag on my head and, knitting holes in it with a crochet hook, pulled out individual strands of hair all over my head. On my dark hair, after smearing it with peroxide, the effect was overwhelming. The main thing is to do everything exactly to the second, otherwise you can be left without half of the hair. I'm lucky. It turned out just great. True, I did not dare to carry out such an experiment on myself anymore; nevertheless, the instinct of self-preservation works very well for me.
But I always kept hydrogen peroxide at home and to this day I have it.
How do I use hydrogen peroxide
Here's how I use peroxide in my home:
1. Of course, peroxide is the main disinfectant for cuts and scrapes. I always have aerosol in my kitchen.
2. When a runny nose appears, I make a solution of 1 teaspoon in a glass of water and rinse my nose out of a spray bottle. I rinse my mouth with them.
3. You can also drip this solution into your ears to remove wax and disinfect your ears when you catch a cold.
4. With the same solution, I periodically wash all my toothbrushes to disinfect them.
Any use of hydrogen peroxide for treatment should be carried out only after consulting a doctor. This is exactly what I do. All this advice was given to me by my daughter's pediatrician 30 years ago.
5. Before frying, I soak the beef in a 50% peroxide solution for about half an hour. So it becomes juicy and tender.
6. Peroxide is the best disinfectant for cutting boards, especially after fish and meat.
7. If a speck of blood gets on your clothes while cooking meat products and when your hands are injured, you should immediately treat the stain with peroxide and after 1 minute rinse it off with cold water. There will be no stain.
8. A mixture of baking soda and peroxide will remove any plaque from the dishes. Although not immediately, but delicately.
9. Mold, which sometimes forms on windowsills in winter, is also best removed with peroxide - spray and after 10 minutes remove with a rag.
10. In the greenhouse, I water the young seedlings with a peroxide solution in the proportion - 1 tablespoon per liter of water. Active hydrogen helps the development of the root system. And destroys harmful bacteria in the soil.
As you can see, hydrogen peroxide is a completely irreplaceable thing. Especially in our turbulent time, in terms of many infections.
