Earlier, in the late 90s, early 2000s, such mining buyers were associated with fraudsters working according to the following scheme: to clear the working of impurities (clarify), pour into containers and sell in places least subject to inspections and control. Stalls by the road, for example.

Perhaps, there are such cases even now. After all, no one will deny that the market for fake car oils is a thing of the past. In any case, there is not much room for such converters against the background of competition among the offers of high-quality auto oils for their deception.

At present, used motor oils are being bought up in order to use them as fuel for boilers working on mining.

A few years ago, one of the owners of a car service showed me an automatic boiler, which works for him and heats a two-story building with an area of ​​about 600 m2. In the warm season, the car service collects working off in barrels when changing oil in cars. And in winter they are heated. Moreover, no soot, smoke from the chimney is visible. Automation regulates the drip flow of mining and the volume of air.

If such car services or other buildings (who are not connected to heating mains) do not have enough stocked mining on their own, they buy up in other places. At trucking companies and in specialized centers for the replacement of oils.

The cost of the boiler for mining is low. For example, a fully automatic 50 kW model has a cost of $ 165,000. Semiautomatic device - from 65 thous. rub. If you need power for heating a small area of ​​up to 150 m2, then the power of the boiler for mining will be enough and 15 kW at a fuel consumption of up to 1 l / h.

There are also automatic burners working on development, which can be installed in a solid fuel boiler.

If you find a canal for acquiring mining at a price of 7 rubles / liter, then it is not difficult to calculate that heating a building with an area of ​​150 m2 will cost 5000 rubles / month or 720 l working out (about four 200-liter barrels).

On the one hand, this is not so little, comparable to the cost of heating with coal in our region. But for car services, coal is inconvenient; you need to allocate a separate person, a stoker, for heating. And there is a plus in mining: unlike coal or firewood, there is no need to dispose of ash, unload and drag coal through the building (if there is no separate entrance to the boiler room). A more compact arrangement of fuel, anyone can add mining to the container. And some car services heat the building only by their working off, i.e. - is free.

In principle, if someone has a good relationship with a large motor transport company, then working off can also heat your home. It will take about 20 liters of a canister of working off per day. But I have not seen such examples.
