What can be made of old boards

A couple of years ago, I was with a friend called to help paint the cottage. Cottage thorough of logs and an attic.

When we arrived at the site, the owner asked to do something else with a porch.

The task must say was not quite easy, because it began to build up to us, and in my opinion is very thoughtless.

This is what had to start working. Another challenge was the material - this is the old 50 mm boards with nails and stained cement and the sheathing old rake has darkened from time.

Imagine the scene - the front door at a height of 80 cm. from the earth are like a few steps toward her. On both sides of the door sticking two boards on which stand two more and the top canopy of several boards with sagging bar above the door. Materials for a few old boards and trim the rack.

Of the tools we had a hand-held circular saw, screwdriver, elektrorubanok.

For the hostess with a friend we were treated with great respect, therefore, we agreed to make from what it was.

Of planks nails were pulled out, and they have been thoroughly cleaned of dirt. Further boards were prostrogat from all sides. Rail also prostrogat. Sex on the steps, corners, struts his cap made of thick planks, fence rails. Under the floor at the edge of the steps have been put additional supports. Putting it all on a bed of nails and screws.

In the end, it turned out here:

Visor is made and it is filed ceiling. Paved floor. Angles now have the support and the visor has additional supports and the door is no longer clings to the roof. Made railing and steps taken out of the door. And yet everything was painted, including the entire house.

That's porch was made of old boards, which are found in the country. The hostess was very pleased.

And yet here we were made frames and it is a little separate issue...
