The chair is not for everyone. The history of the project and drawings

click fraud protection

About five years ago, his wife's parents bought me a set of chairs. Naturally I wanted to do something original.

I searched through a lot of information about the structure and design of chairs. After much deliberation and sketches come here to this design.

To start decided to make one chair on trial.

Presented to customers and received approval, only a few have changed the back of the chair.

These chairs are made of beech wood. I found in the city where not to buy edged beech chopping block and from it did.

The main tool for making then was a band saw. She dissolved the board on a thin and cut out all the curves details including seat.

Seat scored dosochek of narrow curves, which cut on a band saw, glued leveled and grinding.

Customers are satisfied with chairs and when we come to visit his parents, always happy to be seated at the table for these chairs.

These chairs have of course their own characteristics. seat shape provides a comfortable fit. The chair as if "merges" and get a good lumbar support. Move out ahead of the seat and rocking pretty hard on this chair. And the chairs were not all: my wife does not like to sit on them, but on the contrary svoyachnitsa admires and says that she is resting back on these chairs.

Referring to the drawings... For those who are interested in this archive are two files for SketchUp software. In one chair model full size and the other with the size of the layout.

In general, the chairs turned out good and I am grateful to relatives for this opportunity to gain experience in the manufacture of these chairs.
