Decorative nominal hanger made of plywood with their hands

While in search of new ideas, I came across a nominal decorative hanger. This attribute seemed quite original product, which can be a nice gift, for both children and adults. It can be used not only for storing clothes in the closet, but for the holiday photo session, as well as home interior decoration. Today I will show you the detailed process of producing a nominal hangers that are made for my daughter Vasilisa, and, of course, share template for cutting.

The manufacturing process of nominal hanger consists of three major steps: template creation, sawing machine on jigsaws and coloring.

Creation of names hanger template

I have a small skills with Photoshop, so development patterns I try to do it in this program.

When you create a template, the most important task was to draw itself hanger, which actually turned out to be not so difficult, because it consists of simple geometric shapes and the question mark.

After that the case remained for small: to write your name and decorate all hearts and butterflies. To write the name I used

Butterfly and hearts not only serve as decorations, but also make the design more stable hangers.

Ready template name hangers in .psd format can be downloaded here. In Photoshop, you will only have to enter the name you want to divide the drawing into two sheets of A4 format and print the pattern.

Sawing Jigsaw hangers on the machine

When the template has been fully ready, I pasted it on the plywood (How quickly put the drawing on plywood?) And drilled holes in all internal circuits. To manufacture a hanger quite suitable plywood thickness of 10 mm.

When sawing nominal hangers I've used all the tips, which are described in the article "Sawing large labels (words) on the jig machine", as it has quite a large size (length of the hanger 35, height 20 cm). So the first thing I cut the top part.

Since the workpiece has become easier and it was easier to rotate around its axis by sawing internal circuits. Vypilivaya very small elements, it is better to put on a jig machine low speed (if available) to propyl was more precise and accurate.

After cutting out, I carefully polished hanger with sandpaper and wiped the dust, thus preparing it for painting.

Painting

The final step in the manufacture of a nominal hanger was painting. white semi-gloss acrylic paint used for painting. I dyed using the spray gun with two coats. Minor elements: hearts and butterflies painted by hand traditional brushes. At the end of the hanger covered with clear acrylic lacquer.
