Modernization (rework) Jigsaw machine Jet

Just the other day I got a welcome package with the last part, which has completed the modernization of my jig machine, and in this article I really want to share with all of its modifications.

Early I did an overview of the machine Jet Jigsaw and if you are wondering, in this article, you can look at its standard, as well as learn about its strengths and weaknesses.

After all the improvements my jig machine now has the following form:

First I removed the cover glass and the presser foot, as they limited my activities when sawing and significantly interfere with work. This is especially felt when sawing small pieces. Instead of glass, I just use protective goggles, and the lack of tabs is not much, because when sawing blank is pressed by hand. (The only one I would advise not to remove the foot, because it is the children who have just started to learn the artistic cutting out on a fret saw).

Further, in the process, I began to notice other shortcomings of his jigsaw machine and eventually made a replacement three things: table insert, attachment for saws and blower system, setting a comfortable and high-quality details.

Red liner was in millimeter (maybe a little less) below the level of the table and workpiece during sawing sometimes rested against the ledge. So I made a new liner is made of plywood with a small hole, which fit perfectly on a level with the table plane.

My second was finalizing mount bezshtiftovyh saws. Why bezshtiftovyh? This you will learn in the next article, in which I tell which is better to use saws for cutting on the jig machine. And now let us return to the mount. As standard, there are two adapter bezshtiftovyh saws that are mildly inconvenient, especially when there is a sawing many internal elements. These adapters are not fully thought-out and unreliable, so I installed a comfortable fit, with which you can easily remove and tighten the saw blade. The manufacture of such fastening has been master of his craft Alexander Kulibin, which can be easily found in the social network Vkontakte and make it an order.

And the last thing I replaced it with a system of blowing sawdust. The standard system is also prevented, it had to be raised and lowered, when it was necessary to insert the saw blade into the hole billet inner member, and this had to unscrew and tighten the grip, which takes valuable time. If this is not done, then the plywood rests on the metal tube blowing, making it difficult to work. So I bought a blue flexible plastic hose that is easy to raise and lower as needed. The cost of such hose only 60 rubles.
