The first "surprise" of the season. Swimming pool in the cellar.
cellar waterproofing problemProbably occurs in all its owners. And this issue should be taken seriously at the stage of its construction, or later will need additional work.
As I made my cellar, I said in this article:
Hiding in the house. Unnecessary problems or necessity?
Ground water in my area high. Although summer it did not reach the bottom of the cellar, the spring may be higher. And of course you must carry out waterproofing.
I did the following:
- Add special additives in concrete manufacture.
- I missed all the joints between walls and floor waterproofing.
I thought it was sufficient. But the other day when I finally began work on the siteAnd began to remove the snow from the ground up, the first thing I looked like there my cellar.
He found an unpleasant picture:
Instead cellar there was a pool, in a depth of about 0.5 meters.
I imagined that this could happen, because I mastic asphalt coat with only the corners, and it is necessary, probably, cover all continuous layer.
But then discovered another.
When I decided to see the water level in the drainage inspection chambers, around the basement, I saw that the water level there at a depth of about 1 meter from the ground level.
What happens?
If you remove the height of the basement, the water level in the basement at a depth of 0.5 - 0.7 meters above ground level.
How can it be that in two places at one site different levels of ground water?
Only one option.
All the water in the cellar natekla not from below but from above. And most likely through mortgages, Ventilation cellar, sewerage and water supply. Of course, I wrapped their film, but joints of pipes with concrete, water could seep.
Here, from the melting of the snow did not help even the film, I was laying the foundation, since joints are glued with adhesive tape, not too tight.
But I'll do an extra layer of waterproofing, to be exactly sure, tightness in his cellar.
And I will do all in the near future, it is too early to make a wall for the house.
