Poser asked to solve at least for a while, but how? Before replacing the sink, it was decided to replace the leaky drain metal around the other - round plate of some fine tin.
As a matter of urgency in the matter went to cover preservation. there was no other metal look for a time. Thought that one of the cover cut out a ring for mounting on top, and on the other - from the bottom. Also, the diameter of the entire lid from the prepared rubber ring inner tube. As a result, a second cover cut only from the inside, while the outer ring left to rigidity.
On picture 2 visible all the necessary materials for repair. Upper cut ring even had a little trim and handle hammer sandpaper, so you do not cut yourself on the edge. The diameter of the inner hole therein corresponds to the diameter of the circular drain for washing the grating.
On photo 3 shows how the "sealed up" hole at the top. Fixing screw here, too, is not a native, made it from an old Soviet glass syringe, but it is not so important, because it is usually the screw remains intact.
It turns out that the circle of the lid cut off from the top edge of the torn hole somewhere in the 1 cm. Since the metal is tough, I think half a year still stand up. And from additional details are as follows.
Rubber circle rests on the sink and set the second cover, and it rests on the old factory seal siphon. Fixing screw that top, all is well and pulled tight connection happened. The bottom cover has added rigidity, so the chance does not break off the siphon.
